Life as the Ruler of the Universe

  Let’s be honest, this must be exhausting! Our cat, Fomo, spends roughly 23 hours a day fast asleep. For the one hour he is awake, we are at his beck and call, and boy is he demanding! We knew we were in trouble from very early on! You can just see him sending out those subliminal messages...“Obey my every whim, puny humans.” 

He started sleeping in the fruit bowl, which was super cute, but made us feel like bad parents. 

So, we bought him a bed; which he loved, but soon outgrew. 

So, we bought him another bed; which he hated and went in precisely one time (at which I managed to snap this pic!). 

Now he sleeps wherever he falls down. Which is usually where we are trying to work, or at least nearby so that he can see us and doesn’t feel like he’s missing out on life. 

He LOVES plastic packets almost as much as we hate them!! It’s an absolute treat for him, on shopping day, to be able to lie in one and watch us unpack. He’s so weird!!!   

He has a cat-flap, which he detests! I’m sure he thinks it is beneath him to have to head-butt it open and slink his way through. He uses it precisely once a day (at 4am when he wakes hubby up to let him out!!!!). I know what you’re thinking, I thought it myself, “Just ignore him and he’ll come back later” - there is no ignoring Fomo, if he wants you up, UP. YOU. GET! For the rest of the day, he comes and goes through the front door (which he signals he wants opened via a series of increasingly frenetic meows). Seriously people, he is something to behold. 

His only saving grace is that he’s so damn cute, and we are completely and utterly under his spell.  

I think I can say with utter certainty, that he rules our world and everything in it, and we are happy to let him.
