My cats are getting fat, Rosy comes back home today, แมวอ้วนมาก และโรซี่กลับบ้านวันนี้

I was so glad to be back at my country house in Nongkhai yesterday. It took some time for the cats to come out of their hiding.

I had to make loud noises and kept yelling their names. One by one, the cat woke up and came out to greet me. I was quite surprised that they all appeared to be much bigger and fatter this time. Two biggest cats were meowing a lot as if to complain about something.

In the evening, I took them for a play time in the vegetable garden. They like it there so much as they could hide among the small plants. I left them there for almost an hour so I could go on my evening walk.

By the time I came back, they were still hiding among the rows of small plants. They refused to come out so I had to search for each one. I carried each cat back to the house as it was getting dark; I don’t want them to sleep there during the night in case the snakes crept up on them.

This morning, I was very surprised to hear a sharp voice calling for my attention. Rosy came back looking very skinny and undernourished. She is now much smaller than the grown up kittens! She still lets me touch her and carry her around, she’s so light. I hope she won’t be going on her crazy adventure any more.

เรามาพักผ่อนที่บ้านสวนหนองคาย ดีใจมากที่ได้มาเปลี่ยนบรรยากาศจากเมืองหลวง และได้เล่นกับแมวทั้งหลาย พอมาถึงบ้าน เราไม่เจอแมวเลย ก็คิดว่าพวกมันคงนอนอยู่ตามที่ซ่อนของมัน เราก็ทำเสียงดังๆ และตะโกนเรียกชื่อแมว ครู่หนึ่งแมวก็ออกมาจากใต้พุ่มไม้ แมวตัวโตและอ้วนขึ้นมากจนเราแปลกใจ อดสงสัยไม่ได้ว่ามันไปกินอะไรมา เราคงต้องลดอาหารแมวใหญ่บ้างแล้ว ตอนเย็นเราพาแมวไปเดินเล่นในแปลงผัก พวกมันชอบมากเพราะ มีต้นไม้เตี้ยๆเป็นแถวยาวให้มันวิ่งเล่นซ่อนแอบกัน อากาศก็เย็นและพื้นดินเย็นชื้น แมวมีความสุขกันมาก เราปล่อยให้เล่นกันเกือบชั่วโมง เพราะเราไปเดินเล่นริมแม่น้ำก่อนพระอาทิตย์ตก

พอกลับมา พวกแมวก็ยังนอนเล่นกันที่แปลงผัก เราเรียกเท่าไรก็ไม่มีใครยอมขยับเข้าบ้าน เราก็ต้องอุ้มทีละตัวกลับเข้าบ้าน มันหนักมาก เราต้องอุ้มทีละตัวแล้ว เรากลัวแมวเผลอหลับตอนค่ำและกลัวว่างูจะออกมาตอนกลางคืนด้วย ตอนเช้านี้เราำด้ยินเสียงแหลมๆของโรซี่เรียกหาเราและบ่นมากมาย มันผอมมากและดูอดข้าวมาหลายวัน เราก็ให้ปลาทูแมวแบ่งกันกิน โชคดีที่มันยังจำเราได้ และยอมให้เราจับตัวมันได้ เราก็หวังว่าเจ้าโรซึ่จะไม่ไปผจญภัยที่นอกบ้านอีก เราอยากให้มันอ้วนเหมือนแมวตัวอื่นบ้าง
