My Little Musician

in #ccc4 years ago

I realized that the little fellow in the house does not have a real musical instrument yet. He has his own "guitar" though.

Being the music lover that he is, I know sooner than soon, he would ask for the real thing. But, because he is not capable of taking care of his things yet, we refrained from buying him a real guitar or violin, which he is earnestly begging for. One time, he even used a comb and a stick to be his "violin." He also made a piece of stainless tube as an improvised "flute."

He was three years old in the photo. Actually, this is just a screenshot of a video I have with him. And there he was, playing in his guitar, singing with his heart, pretending to have a gig at a bar.

I am happy that he is not tone deaf. Even before he could pronounce the words properly, he was able to sing (with his made-up words that only him could understand 😂😂). I think he is born to be a performer.

I have also read that children with music training develop a better memory and vocabulary than children without such training, because the research reveals that studying music stimulates the left side of the brain, thus improving overall brain function and permitting the brain to do better at other tasks—such as verbal learning. So, music really helps brain development. That's why, we introduce musical instruments for kids to him. And I'm happy that he loves it.
