Looking Back/ Look Forward SBI Contest #9 - #ccc 2.05

Hello friends :)

The point of this contest is to write a post following the #ccc rules about something that you either enjoyed doing over the past week, or are looking forward to doing in the coming week.

I know that this is a little more in-depth than normal SBI giveaway contests, but part of the point of #ccc is to generate good content on the Steem platform.

Here is my response as an example of what I am looking for.

This past week was my first full one back in Portland. It is so nice to be back. I have had an excellent week with my family, hanging out with them and doing lots of different things.

On Sunday, my parents came over to where I am staying with my Grandma, and my Dad gave me one of the gifts that he got me while I was away. He fixed up and modified a bicycle for me.

This is such a nice bike, and for those of you who have never heard of the Manta bike saddle, that is what I have on the top. It is incredibly comfortable, and is designed to take all of the pressure off of the, uh, fragile bits, while biking. You can find out more information about it here: https://mantasaddle.co.uk/

The rest of the week was fairly laid back. I did have an awesome meeting with my previous employer at the gym I was working at before leaving, and I will be starting work again on Monday. I am really excited about that, so we can count that as something I am looking forward to for next week :)

I’ve also done a fair amount of shopping at my local health food stores. While I am definitely still not a fan of shopping, it is so nice to have these stores that I am so familiar with to shop at. Plus, having ingredients lists in English, and being able to converse with both fellow shoppers and the employees, is very much a plus.

On Friday, I had an awesome outing with my family. We went to the coast, at a place called Indian Beach (very questionable name) at the Ecola State Park. It was beautiful, and boogie boarding there with my whole family was so much fun.

Like I said, it was a gorgeous area. It is so nice to be in a place with so many trees again. I have missed Oregon.

On Saturday (which this should have been posted on, sorry. I was just way too tired) my girlfriend, Grandma, nephew, and I went to an animal sanctuary. They were having their annual open event for people to come and visit their rescued animals. It was so cool seeing all of the animals, well cared for and happy.

I also participated in a watermelon eating contest. I didn’t win (due to some weirdly inconsistent sizing of pieces) but I got to eat a lot of free watermelon and got a nice little prize of sustainable chocolates for my girlfriend.

This past week was really enjoyable. I think next week will be awesome as well. I’ll be teaching my first fitness class in nearly a year. I am nervous, but excited. We’ll see how that goes. Wish me luck.

As to the winning process, this will be random draw. Comment a link to your post on this post, you will be assigned a number, and when the post pays out I will draw a random number and that person will get an SBI share. I am also very open to changing the reward system, so if you have a suggestion let me know. :)

@freedomshift is sponsoring this contest with some generous gifts. With a new year of #ccc, the reward system has changed. There’s no longer a particular method for this, so I am just going to do a carry over of 1 week for all non-winning entries, and give 2 SBI for weeks that have 6 entries with the carry over. Using a Random Number Generator, I got 2. So @fitinfunfood you are the lucky winner and get 1 SBI from me.

For the LB/LF Contest #7, there were 4 entries. So there are 3 remaining entries (gertu, wakeupkitty, marblely) that did not win this time or for last week’s first draw. Using the RNG, I got 1, so @gertu, you get an SBI.
