T'WAS A FULFILLING DAY

Good evening and Pit Senyor fellow steemians!

My beloved homeland Cebu City is now celebrating its fiesta which is considered to be one of the most colorful and grandest festival in the Philippines. Flock of people gather in the streets to witness the street dancing. Part of the celebration and which I also considered as the highlight is the land procession or Traslacion.
I am very happy that I was able to join it this year (actually I just got home as I am writing this post).
The procession started by 1pm but by 12noon we were already on the vicinity. There were already thousands of people also waiting outside for the procession to start. The weather did not stop the devotees to join the procession. There was really a feeling of elation as the image of Sto. Nino passed in front of us.

I was with my two aunts amd cousin as I join this year's procession.

The procession ended by 6 in the evening then we headed to SM Cebu for dinner. Lucky for us that we were able to witness the Fireworks display at SM.

It was indeed a tiresome day for me but it was really fulfilling that I was able to finish the land procession amidst the rain.
