Ayub bridge is a 55 year old pride of pakistan. Its foundation was laid by field marshal "Muhammad Ayub Khan" (President of pakistan) with the help of an engineer "David B. Steinman" in 1962.
Before Ayub Bridge the bridge that was use was "Lansdowne bridge" which was built in the time of British India when"Lord Lansdowne " was viceroy of India in 1889.
Lansdowne bridge can be seen in the above picture right behind the Ayub bridge.
