DailyCelestialChallenge Saturday: Agriculture
Dear readers, today we will recount the origin and development of agriculture through time.
Everything began with the disappearance of the glaciers, thawing that led to the formation of large rivers, lakes and even seas, which minimized the presence of the large mammals that were the staple food of the first settlers who, mostly lived on the hunting.
This animal exodus brought the population together on the banks of the great rivers where they became harvesters of fruits fertilized by overflowing waters, the animals that survived were domesticated and were part of their diet.
Some scholars affirm that agriculture as a labor, dates from the Neolithic period both in the north of the current Iraq, in Egypt, China and North America from where they emigrated to South America; Having large rivers in its territory was a determining factor, the Nile, the Tigris and the Euphrates are a good example to consider.
By then the land was worked with stone utensils with which they cultivated barley, wheat and in the case of America, corn and beans.
The advance of agricultural work aroused in man the creativity necessary for his growth in the countryside, he forested, he prepared the land and he knew the cycles of the moon for the benefit of his crops.
This caused that nomadic hunters, persecutors of prey to survive were displaced by farmers who remained in a fixed place to take care of their sowings, organized in communities and with enough time to attend other activities like the breeding and domestication of animals..
Thus the first conflicts arose because of food, the populations were protected with walls and their inhabitants developed individual habits to advance in their growth, they learned crafts such as ceramics, weaving reeds to make baskets, woolen yarns and added new species of cultivation like the vine and the olive tree which required a lot of time for its production but once matured it was a very long term benefit.
These advances favored the growth of the population, and the increase in production generated ** SURPLUS ** that could be exchanged for other goods, thus the ** TRUEQUE ** was born, the first way to effect what we now call ** TRADE **
"All this thanks to little men who were dedicated to collect seeds, pick fruits and care for animals and then eat them."
** Gen.11 **
** Then God said: Let the earth produce green grass, grass that gives seed; tree of fruit that bears fruit according to its kind, that its seed be in it, on earth. And it was like that.
