Gab Is Back And Free Speech Isn't Dead

in #censorship6 years ago

In this video that I made a few days ago but only got to upload now. I'm basically just announcing that Gab is back and that I have high hopes for the platform to set a precedent for free speech. I am not alt-right and hardly even identify as strictly right wing. I also do not condone anti-semitism, however free speech has its nuances and I support free speech before I support anti-hate speech. It's basically impossible for both. I briefly go through their Twitter and share some of the companies trying to silence them and what they've been up to.

Also I said Gabe instead of Gab like twice. Please ignore that and know that I know what I did lol.

Let me know what you think about this whole fiasco with Gab and everything that has happened since. What do you think this means for free speech? Are you excited for them to start utilizing blockchain technology? Let me know in the comments :)

The more I read about GAB, the more I want to get on it.

Probably would be a great place to start over.

Yeah I definitely recommend checking it out

So what is alt-right? I see them as cowards that dont stand up for what they believe. They grow government just like all leftists.

Any extremist causes problems ofcourse

Ok so keep the word extremism. We need to stop changing language to fit our narrative. Just like the word MJ was used to demonize a plant. Cannabis shall set you free yet it over fills the private prisons.

It's widely accepted and known that alt left or right refers only to extremists. I agree.

Widely accepted is debatable. As the new terminology alone is used to sow confusion.

What's confusing about it? When did alt-left or alt-right mean something else?

I didnt say it meant something else. I'm curious as to the origin of the existence of the term. I just find it funny how there is an alt right wikipedia page yet there is no opposite page for alt left. At the bottom of the alt right page you find a small blurb. When did this come into existance? When a label was created to describe everything that is disagreeable. Because people can not articulate their own views let alone the views of an opposition.

Yeah it's called a neologism. You're right the media is 80%+ left so they try to shy away from alt-left being a thing. They generally describe it as people against Trump which is a gross understatement. It should refer to extremist groups on the left like ANTIFA etc. but it neglects that information. We already know Wikipedia is apart of the big tech silicon valley grouping
