when we talk about love
"I could hear my heart beating, I could hear everyone's heart." Sitting there, I could hear the human sound, none of us moved, not even when the room darkened.
Raymond Carver wrote this phrase, and he did it in reference to love. For me, love is God my Heavenly Father. Only he can give that love that is eternal, infinite, unconditional, is not exhausted, because He is the source of life.
Certainly my words are tiny in describing the immense love of God, that is why all this is summarized in this verse:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish, but may have eternal life." (John 3:16)
And every time I read it or remember it, I feel that the fire 🔥 of the Holy Spirit inside me is revived. The phrase written in that image, can describe what happens in a church, in a support group or only in a meeting of friends who share their experiences and give testimony of the Lord's work in their lives, it is there, it is in that moment where I like to observe everything and keep every detail in my memory because that is where in the middle of the talk, prayer or adoration I can feel what that phrase describes. And that is where I reaffirm more and more that only God can provide me with that infinite moment, and that He alone is the center of everything.
"Podía escuchar mi corazón latiendo. Podía escuchar el corazón de todos. Sentados allí, podía escuchar el sonido humano. Ninguno de nosotros se movía. Ni siquiera cuando el cuarto oscureció."
Raymond Carver escribió esta frase, y lo hizo en referencia al amor. Para mi el amor es Dios mi Padre Celestial. Solo el puede dar ese amor que es eterno, infinito, incondicional, no se agota, porque Él es la fuente de vida.
Ciertamente mis palabras se quedan diminutas al describir el inmenso amor de Dios, es por ello que todo esto se resume en este versículo:
"Porque tanto amó Dios al mundo, que dio a su Hijo unigénito, para que todo el que cree en él no se pierda, sino que tenga vida eterna." ( Juan 03 : 16 )
Y cada que lo leo o lo recuerdo siento que el fuego 🔥 del Espíritu Santo que hay dentro de mi se aviva. La frase escrita en esa imagen, puede describir lo que pasa en una iglesia, en un grupo de apoyo o solamente en una reunión de amigos que comparten sus vivencias y dan testimonio de la obra del Señor en sus vidas, es allí, es en ese momento donde me gusta observar todo y guardar cada detalle en mi memoria porque es allí donde en medio de la charla, de la oración o de la adoración puedo sentir lo que esa frase describe. Y es allí donde reafirmo cada vez más que solo Dios puede proveerme de ese momento infinito, y que solo Él es el centro de todo.
