The always secretive Apple will go a long way trying to enforce their culture of keeping everyone quietly waiting, and that is something hard to accomplish because if I knew someone on the Apple design team I would bug them to death for a few details so it's​ safe to assume that some people do that and some employees do not resist.

But the truth is that sometimes those leaks create expectations that people enjoy (sometimes create disappointment​) but that is the whole idea of giving something to the people that are waiting, to chat about.
