I think it's still a long way to go for AI to become creative. AI doesn't have feeling and write songs only based on "patterns" of many other songs in the training data. There are other applications, like writing books and poems, being researched by some scholars. But even if AI can write books with contents making sense, the lack of emotion will deter it from being really innovative
