though filled with dread, will try to hope

More than half of the voters did not vote for the President-Elect. And many of us in that voter majority are now afraid. Someone who is offensive (putting it mildly) toward women, mocks people with disabilities, seems clueless about the value of NATO and the UN and will have his finger on the nuclear button is now in charge. Let’s not even talk about the fact that he still hasn’t revealed tax information. What is he hiding? And all of the potential conflicts of interest are out there because of his worldwide business holdings. And what’s the deal with his warm and fuzzy feelings about a man who has tortured people in his past life with the KGB in a country where journalists and musicians are incarcerated and sometimes are murdered? Oh well.

So today I will instead think of my optimistic side and post this image of Albuquerque’s balloon fiesta. There is always hope and it’s the way we should face life. Think globally. Act locally. That has been a mantra forever and it makes so much sense now.

Peace out.

This is what they all do... namely, whatever they want. Both sides of the aisle are a sideshow, and this third act is swiftly coming to a close :/
