Pretense (A Poem)

We were star-crossed lovers,
tied with devotion and vows of forever.
We were a true story of inspiration and reality,
until you revealed your true identity,
a stranger who dragged me into misery.

You were an outstanding storyteller,
A sweet dream turned to nightmare.
You grew inside me like a flower,
then suffocated me like a monster.

You recited stories about your past,
the agony you felt behind your mask.
Girls who chased to claim your love,
but those were just imaginary plot,
of stories you wrote inside your head.

Fooled me with your so-called 'Mystery',
filled my system with your memory.
But I found the truth that set me free,
I was just a subject of your horrible anatomy.
