3 Things I'm grateful for today #challenge30days
Today started on the wrong foot for me because I couldn't sleep well last night.
Maybe it was the scorching heat, maybe something on my unconscious mind...
I don't know exactly but I tossed and turned until 1 a.m. when I got the brilliant idea to turn on the air con. It helped a bit, but it took me one more hour to finally fall asleep. I woke up at 5 am to turn off the air con and then I fell asleep for 2 more hours until my alarm clock rang.
I felt bad and sluggish and the last thing I wanted to do was to go to work. But, I pushed through, did a 15' cardio workout with ZuzkaLight to get my heart pumping, and after this and a shower I felt like I could face the day.
It was not an easy day at work, my brain was working in slow motion at times, but I did my best and managed to get work done.
On my way home - as it was still 33 degrees Celsius - I felt like a piece of melting chocolate on the hot asphalt.
But, instead of giving in to feeling bad and tired I thought - I need to post something on Steemit, because I'm in the #challenge30days.
So I decided to switch my focus to things that fill my heart with joy so I can take pictures of them and share them later with you.
And because I felt like I needed to ground myself and stay in nature for a while I came to the nearby park, made a hotspot on my Iphone and started writing this like this:
So without further ado here are the little wonders that made me be grateful and joyful today:
#1 This beautiful, friendly and apparently pregnant cat that was lying right next to my office. The moment I saw her I got closer to take a picture and she did this:
Then she started "talking" with me and she came closer to pet her.
#2 Then, just before entering the park I saw these beautiful blueish-purple flowers in a garden.
#3 And as I was heading towards my favourite place by the lake I recognised one of the friendliest small dogs I've ever met. I remembered her from another walk in the park when I stopped to pet her and she kept "talking" to me in the sweetest way. So this time I asked the owner if I could take a picture of Missy, that's her name. But because I wanted you to hear her, I took a short video :)
So these are the highlights of my day. What are you grateful for today?
