How to prepare (drying the plant for use and storage)

Every bit of the plant from the ground up can be dried for later use. Make sure, before you dry the plant, you wash all plant parts first. If you are particularly worried about the cleanliness of your harvest, you can vinegar rinse with, white distilled vinegar. After washing the plant matter, gently shake them to rid of excess water, then pat them dry with a paper towel or soft, dry rag.

Different ways to dry herbs:

Take whole plant, hang in singles, or bundles in a dry, spot in your home, away from pets, kids and pests, leave to dry for 1-2 weeks or until completely dry depending on climate. If you have a dehumidifier in your home, hang the herbs in the same room, or near it to speed up the process.
Separate/cut the plant matter into pieces and dry on a paper towel on a drying rack.
Separate/cut the herb pieces according to what is needed (separate leaves from wood and roots) and place on separate trays in a food dehydrator, on low until completely finished drying.
