Yes Way Rose

This excruciating hot summer day brought me back to my happy place...being by the water drinking champagne. This picture was taken at Boccaccio's in Westlake Village the at my rehearsal dinner the night before I got married.

It's fun to go back there now with my son. He loves to go to the lake and feed the ducks. Instead of being able to sit and enjoy my glass of champagne like I used to, I'm now the woman making duck noises and tossing bread into the lake to watch his reaction as the ducks swim up to him. So much has changed in three years since this photo was taken. It's days like today, it's easy to get lost in more simple times; times where you haven't spent 5 minutes negotiating a diaper change and then another 5 minutes chasing them up the stairs for the diaper change only to be distracted by the dog's water bowl. You can imagine the mess this created...so what was originally a diaper change is a full wardrobe change and a floor cleaning. Fun times! So yes...I will go back to my happy place and wish I had a glass of Rose to help me get through the day!
