Selection Of 20 School Children Whose Uniforms Had Gone Bad

True wealth is not measured by how much you possess but how much you give into the lives of people around you

Last week Monday, one of the team members of @steemminna and a tailor visited a primary school in bosso, Minna Niger state, Nigeria

The purpose of the visit was to pick out 20 of the school children whose school uniforms has become extremely bad or those who don't even have uniforms. The visit was possible through a Nigerian steemian who has long being into helping children in school.
It was a emotional visit as I saw the state of the of the school. Children were seated on the bare flow, i could only but weep for the situation but had to control myself and focus on what brought me to the school. As we went round to pick out the children, one of them almost brought tears to my eyes.

The girl above, her uniform looks a bit ok but I was told by the secretary of the school who took us round that the uniform was given to her by her friend. My mind travelled far and near as to how she can cope through out secondary and university study if her primary school is this difficult. I pray the @steemminna gets more funding to help this particular girl through out her schooling.

Aside the selection of 20 of the children, we had to take sandal measurements of 8 of these 20 children who came to school with bathroom slippers.

Some other pictures from the visit as we went round the classes with the secretary of the school while the tailor took measurements of the children.

As at the time of making this post, the tailor was done with cutting the materials and by this week Thursday or Friday, he will be done with sowing of the 20 school uniforms.
Also the 8 sandals is ready as seen in the picture below.

By this Friday or Thursday, we will present the uniforms and sandals to the children.

Great project! Thanks for including all the pictures of the children.

It is good to remember that while many of us have experienced poverty in life, myself included, there is much more widespread poverty for many others and even their schooling in preparation for the future is often in jeopardy. It is very easy to decide to support such a project with an upvote. 🙂

Thank you very much for the support and encouragement. The @steemminna team is very grateful.

Well done

The children will live to remember these and I believe they would grow to help and support others the way they can, I hope to be there by Friday

Nice one @inspiredgideon1 and @steemmina and everyone who supports the project, God bless
