✴️ Why Don't People Like To Change? It's Necessary Too Live A Long and Happier Life 💞
Change is the end result of all true learning. ~ Leo Buscaglia
Many years ago, I had a day of reflection and and was wondered "WHY" people (including myself) don't want to change... from old beliefs, old ideologies, behaviors, attitude, health, financial, relationships etc etc.... and concluded that by not changing constantly, it creates a formula for an unhappy life.
As people, we are so comfortable with our own "Habits" and "Daily Routines" that when we tend to get "stuck" with old beliefs causing no growth to happen for many years or even decades until it's to late.
So I asked myself, "Why be normal, a normal life is absolutely boring".... and decided and make an effort everyday to change.
If your miserable and your LIFE SUCKS... we have the power to change RIGHT NOW. Shut that inner voice off, they are just past thoughts and old programming.
Don't let circumstances, events, people and expereiences from the past dictate who you are today. True happiness come from within by learning, doing, or creating new things... one can find true inner peace and happiness by doing this.
We have a CHOICE to change, why not do it now. Everyone of us has the ability to become who we always wanted to be, our minds have UNLIMITED POTENTIAL.
Forget your past failures, loose your old bad stories.... it does not exist anymore and let's start moving forward. It's not that hard to change, it's just a CHOICE that we must make right now.
Hope this message helps or even motivated a few Steemians that "Change" is good, at the end of the day... we are all in this together in this thing called life.
Change your life until you will be happy, thank keep doing what you do!

still in babysitting mode of 6 kids haha
That is a great analogy haha
Great post! Core of the problem is that people became slaves of their own mind. They wake up in the morning, mind is turned on and off they go being slave of the mind. If they sit down only for 10 minutes and listen all the thought from mind, maybe they will realize they are not their mind thoughts. Until that moment of realisation happen, nothing will change in their life.
Yes, it always started with the mind. They must deprogram themselves, e an show them the way but it's up for them to change :)
post a great can be useful can be used as experience .semoga be a friend who can help me in order to like you ..... to dream and hope in reach. like @yooraa need dukugan friend. greetings esteem.

Hi...I think the reason most people don't want to change is based on fear. Foe example, if you have a good job...one that you're satisfied with...why not keep it. Jobs are hard to come by. Yes, i know there's a possibility that you may get a better job if you try. Change is the only thing that we can depend on. That's good. It takes a lot of people out of misery. Good post. Thanks for writing it.
That makes lots of sense, people love security and comfort. They tend to stay the same but that's what average people do, I don't want to be average haha. Awesome comment :)
I reposted this to FaceBook. People don't want to change based on fear and not wanting to get out of their comfort zone.
Most of the problems for people are caused by the resistance to change, I think. People have a hard time accepting changes in their lives and they keep pondering over the past while adapting for a better future.
Many religions, cultures and traditionals are keeping people locked up in boxes and making their lives miserable while creating so much hatred towards others. I think if people could accept changes easily, we would have had a happier world.
I got the write about that word "resistance", a good book about it is "the war of art" :)
The "art of war" you mean?
Na, its by Pressfield. Book is Beast!

If you don't change you will always be the same
That picture shows so much without words :)

I think the main reason people do not like to change especially themselves is that it brings their "old" life in doubt. The ego gets offended as you question your values and beliefs. The deeper they are the more you question your beliefs from the past and maybe realize you "wasted" some (or even a lot ) of time on x or y.
But this is actually bullshit for 2 reasons.
a) your old behaviour, habits and values formed you into the person you are today
b) if you are unhappy with your current situation you should take a lookt at the things you do, because you (and I mean you, not your circumstances, finacial background etc) is responisble of who you are.
Change can be scary but is necessary to grow. I really like this quote from a "Dead Prez" song
The universe contains incredible diversity
And you cannot experience it all within the confines of one comfortable lifestyle
Look ahead to what you will think of your life at it's end
You will probably not want to look back and say it was cozy and dull
Thus, react positively to what seems to be disaster
Remember that what seems how to be disaster may be an important step toward evolution
And may even be identifiable as such at some point in the future
Every great loss takes you out of a rut and starts life anew
Be grateful for the time you had and your former happy state
And look forward eagerly to the new phase"
You broke it down like a champ @flipstar... "Change can be scary but is necessary to grow"
You're making me youtube the Dead Prez song now haha.
Appreciate ya boss :)
As you mentioned, @stackin, it comes from within! Our mind is our change machine and our thoughts and actions are the currency required.
I create and I learn to generate happiness in my life, that truly works for me. Love & Learn bro! Excellent work. 🔥🚀
