It is no longer news that Josep Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team have been declared the winner and Champions for this season's English premier league campaign, following the defeat of their local rival Manchester United yesterday by Leicester City at the Old Trafford.

The two goals to one score line in favour of the Brendan Rodgers' side made Manchester City the Champions, having been leading the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side with a total of 10 points with three games left to the end of the season.

The disappointing result for the Red Devils at the Old Trafford means the premier league title has now been decided at the Theatre of Dreams for a record sixth time, three of which have awarded a side other than Manchester United the trophy (Arsenal in 2001/2002 and Manchester City in 2017/2018 and 2020/2021).
