Cherry Blossom Park Amsterdam

Hi Friends, I would like to share this beautiful place in the Netherlands with you. As traveling isn't an option in the Netherlands due to Covid-19, I try to visit some places in my home country. Today it was the Cherry Blossom Park located in the "Amsterdamse Bos", the forest of Amsterdam near Amstelveen. I hope you all can enjoy these pictures and that you will be able to visit it once Covid measures are eased.

There are actually 400 cherry blossom trees at this location received as a gift of Japan Women’s Club (JWC) in 2000. Every tree has a unique name, 200 trees are named a Japanese female name while 200 trees are named a Dutch female name.
There can also be found a Tsunami memorial. Thousands of Japanese expats who are living in Amstelveen enjoy this park very much. The trees bloom approximately two weeks depending on the weather.
