Box Office Report – Dream Girl vs Chhichhore movie

As there were no new releases this week, Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha starrer Dream Girl and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore took the opportunity to make a solid impact on Friday at the box office.

The Nitesh Tiwari directed Chhichhore entered its fourth week on a very good note despite facing new releases every other week – Dream Girl, Section 375, Prassthanam, The Zoya Factor And Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. While Dream Girl and Section 375 were appreciated, the others failed big time. Chhichhore performed strongly with the first week run at Rs 68.83 crores. Owing to a solid word of mouth feedback, the second week collections were equally good with Rs 40.47 crores at the box office followed by another amazing Rs 24.23 crore in the third week.

Since there were no releases this week, Chhichhore held its head high and earned a very good Rs 1.42 crores on the third Friday, bringing the 22 days total collections to Rs 134.95 crore. With this collection, Chhcichhore is the highest grossing film of Sushant Singh Rajput beating M.S Dhoni – The Untold Story (Rs 133.50 crore). The comedy-drama has solid chance of crossing Gully Boy. Produced by Sajid Nadiawala, Chhichhore has already crossed its budget of Rs 65 Crore (Production Cost: 50 Crore, Prints & Advertising Cost: 15 Crore).

Dream Girl

Stunning the audience with his second hit of 2019 and second 100 crore film, Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl remained strong at the ticket thanks to an encouraging word-of-mouth reviews from the paying audience which helped the movie to mint a staggering Rs 72.20 crore in the first week. Due to the strong reviews, Dream Girl minted a very good Rs 38.60 crore in the second week.

Produced by Balaji Motions Pictures and Zee Studios production, Dream Girl held very well on third Friday with Rs 2.25 crore due to the absence of any releases, bringing the 15 days total to Rs 113.05 crore. Directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, Dream Girl is made on a budget of Rs 30 crore.
