Green-legged Partridge mongrel posing under sunflower
Perhaps not the best photo, but this one is also quite lively. It's a mongrel breed closely related to the Green-legged Partridge, native to Poland and known for its good quality eggs and white eggshells, praised especially during around Easter as the white eggshells allow for easier decoration of pisanki, and kraszanki depicted below:
The difference between pisanki (above) and kraszanki (below) is the technique, the first are painted over, the second are dyed with onion skins and then scratched out. Eggs of the 'green-legged hens' are the best for both.
