Me: Opal, you'll notice that I did the dishes for you today because I'm the nicest mom in the world.

Opal: Thanks, Mom.

Me: What, no comment on the rest?

Opal: Well, I actually don't think a good mom is always nice. The world isn't kind so you've got to be prepared, and that's what a good mom does. So you're just right.
