The Shenzhen Special Economic Zone will study crypto currency
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China announced a plan for the development of a special economic zone in Shenzhen, which included research on and promotion of the RMB-linked national digital currency.
According to the local news agency STCN, the KMC Central Committee announced the following goal for future activities in the region: "Ensuring compatibility with the financial markets of Hong Kong and Macau and mutual recognition of monetary products".
In promoting RMB internationally, we will seek to identify cross-border financial controls and support innovative scenarios for technology applications, such as digital money and mobile payment research," the publication says. -The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council will support the creation of a pilot demonstration zone for socialism with Chinese characteristics in Shenzhen.
Earlier, representatives of the People's Bank of China confirmed their readiness to launch the national digital currency.
