Chitkul, Heaven on earth.
Chitkul is a village in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, which is a lovely hamlet 356 km. approx. from Chandigarh. The best time to visit chitkul is from May to October. It is the best place for people who like adventures. As soon as you entered chitkul you saw beautiful valleys, apple orchids, and remarkable mountains, waterfalls, and grassland all around. The whole view is scented by the aroma of heaven.
Reaching chitkul is very easy. Hire a cab from Reckong Peo which is located 60 km. far and there are public bus services also. I prefer a car. I started my journey from Chandigarh and take lots of stops, as I wanted to discover Himachal Pradesh more closely. I stayed in Shimla, Rampur, Tapri and Reckong Peo.
On the way to chitkul, Sangla valley came across. You are surprised to know that the total population of Sangla is only 25 people in 2011. It is the town in Baspa valley. The best palaces to visiting Sangla Valley are Batseri, Kamra fort, Bering nag temple, and Sangla meadow.
After crossing Sangla-----I reached chitkul......The last inhabited village near the Indo-china border. An altitude of 3450m. In Himachal Pradesh.
