And now, He is far above

Reading through Ephesians 1: 21-23 verse 22 struck me with says:

God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made Him head over all things for the benefit of the church. (NLT)

The first chapter of this letter to Ephesus by St Paul is loaded with great insights into what great blessing is at our disposal in Christ Jesus.

You will notice the emphasis, that He is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else- not only in this world but in the world to come (v21). This highly exalted Lord takes His seat in such a highly exalted realm not for Himself but for the Church (v22)

The church is His inheritance which He so lavished with all benefits such that the entire manifestations of Gods work in Christ is for her benefit. If Jesus is seated in such a realm for the benefit of the church then, there is nothing impossible, there is nothing to fear.

All powers, rulers, authority or leader or anything else is under Him, He is far above all. We are complete in Him. The believers walk should be such that reflects our completeness in Christ.

We do not live like those whose lives depend on this world or in such a way to suggest that there is anything in the world that makes the believer a looser if he is not part of it. Our victory is now!

Prayer with me: Jesus is seated above all, oh God, let me live in the consciousness of this victory.
