RE: DID JESUS CLAIM TO BE THE SON OF GOD?

in #christian-trail7 years ago

This guy ends off with claiming that Muhammad peace be upon him is a false Prophet, so how do you explain that a man that lived 1400 years ago had knowledge of how the human embryo is formed in the womb.

Quran23:12: "And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay."

23:13: "Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging."

23:14: "Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators."

Sort:

Muhammad is a false profit. He had no knowledge of how an embryo is formed in the womb. That's why he said the nonsense that he did. It's obviously the words of a godless, ignorant man. That is, if they even are the words of Muhammad. The Quran has all kinds of conflicting ideas. Most likely much of it was written much later.

Written much later?... By who? ...and when?

Most of the quran if not all of it is copy pasted from other books. But let's say Muhammad wrote some amazing stuff that no one knew at the time. How does that prove he's a true prophet? It only proves that he wrote some amazing stuff that no one knew at the time. The criteria for discerning a true prophet from a false one is to compare their message with the previous prophets IF you believe in the previous prophets as well. If however you only believe in Muhammad, then that makes sense to only go with what Muhammad taught but that'd be a very foolish thing. But even Quran seems to agree with my methodology of discerning the truth. Apparently, Surah 10, verse 94 was revealed to Muhammad when he started to have doubts about the source of the information he was receiving. There is even hadith in which Muhammad thinks he might be posessed by demons.

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. Quran 10:94

It seems like Muhammad didn't take this verse seriously because if he had asked those who have been reading the Scripture before him, they would have told him that his message has major contradictions with previous messages, especially with the message of Jesus Christ, and therefore cannot be from God.

You say most of the Quran is copy pasted from other books...what books? and what verses exactly?. Have you ever read the Quran or are you repeating what others have told you?.
How is it possible for someone who could not read or write to first of all copy paste an entire book and then come up with some amazing scientific facts 1400 years ago.

There are so many different christian denominations that have major contradictions with each other, some forbid drinking alcohol and eating pork while some allow it, some celebrate christmas while some don't and some say that Jesus peace be upon him is the son of God while some do not believe in the divinity of Jesus peace be upon him...so what form of Christianity is the message of Muhammad peace be upon him contradicting?

We can go through the copy/paste passages if you want. It can take quite a lot of time. The differences among Christian denominations is nothing compared to the differences between Islamic denominations. Obviously they can't all be right, neither can all Islamic denominations be right. But let's get back to my point because you totally ignored it.

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. Quran 10:94

That's the Quran asking Muhammad to go to the people of the Book so even Muhammad had to go and double check with those who have read the previous scriptures. Have you read the previous scriptures? How much of them have you read? I bet you haven't even Muhammad didn't otherwise he wouldn't have continued to preach Islam.

Why are you quoting from the Quran if you do not believe it is from God?... And who is speaking to Muhammad peace be upon and asking him to check previous scriptures?... Do you expect that the message of God from one Prophet to the next should be so different that it should be unrecognisable to the people who came before?... It's only obvious that the true books of God would have major similarities.
Quran 4:163: "Indeed, We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him. And we revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, the Descendants, Jesus, Job, Jonah, Aaron, and Solomon, and to David We gave the book [of Psalms]."

4:164: "And [We sent] messengers about whom We have related [their stories] to you before and messengers about whom We have not related to you. And Allah spoke to Moses with [direct] speech."

If you quote the Quran to me, it doesn't make any sense and so the objection becomes valid so you should ask yourself... Why are you quoting the Quran to me because I do not believe the Quran is from God. But when I quote the Quran to you, it makes sense because you believe it's from God so back to my main question again. Let's see if you answer the question or you will try to avoid it again.

So if you are in doubt, [O Muhammad], about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters. Quran 10:94

That's Allah in the Quran asking Muhammad to go to the people of the Book ie. Jews and Christians for confirmation so even Muhammad had to go and double check with those who have read the previous scriptures. Have you read the previous scriptures? How much of them have you read? Where is the confirmation of Islam in the previous scriptures? Where in the previous scriptures does Jesus warn us not to call Him the Son of God? Where does it say that Jesus was not crucified or that someone else was crucified instead of Jesus? Where does it say that God is not our Father because if He was, then He wouldn't punish us for our sins? Where does it say that God doesn't have a Son and it's blasphemy to say He does?
