GOD IS JUST!
MEANING
God always deals equitably with all men by holding them accountable to Himself and to the same standard, while rewarding the righteous and punishing the wicked.
KEY VERSES
Ezekiel 18:4
“Behold, all souls are Mine;
The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
The soul who sins shall die.
Jeremiah 9:24
But let him who glories glory in this,
That he understands and knows Me,
That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth.
For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
Romans 14:10-12
10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.[c] 11 For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”[d]
12 So then each of us shall give account of himself to God. 13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
Zephaniah 3:5
The Lord is righteous in her midst,
He will do no unrighteousness.
Every morning He brings His justice to light;
He never fails,
But the unjust knows no shame.
Psalm 89:14
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne;
Mercy and truth go before Your face.
1 Peter 2:23
who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;
Acts 17;29-31
29 Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising. 30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, 31 because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.”
EXPLANATION
- God shows no partiality.
Job 34:17-19
Should one who hates justice govern?
Will you condemn Him who is most just?
18 Is it fitting to say to a king, ‘You are worthless,’
And to nobles, ‘You are wicked’?
19 Yet He is not partial to princes,
Nor does He regard the rich more than the poor;
For they are all the work of His hands.
Acts 10:34-35
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: “In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.
- God Himself is the holy standard by which all men are measured and to which all are held accountable.
1 Peter 1:17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;
Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, His work is perfect;
For all His ways are justice,
A God of truth and without injustice;
Righteous and upright is He.
Fairness is a human concept based on personal circumstances and in relationship to how others are treated.
Because God is just He must reward the righteous and punish the wicked.
Numbers 14:18 ‘The Lord is longsuffering and abundant in mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He by no means clears the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’
Matthew 25:46 And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
- God's justice is exercised with mercy and grace. While God's character as being just need to punish sin, with His mercy and grace provide the offer of Jesus Christ for everyone who will believe in Jesus Christ!
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God is just, from his word he present us life and death which is in our hands but as well admonished us to choose life.
Justice is acting based on the prescribed law or order but fairness is considering the act.
Thank you for your participation and answer, all the answers gave everyone a better a better understanding of everything.
Probably one of the hardest things is not to condem people for their views. Vengeance is mine, declares the LORD.
A big help is to remind ourselves that no man is perfect, and that by God's grace we have been saved. And we need to extend God's grace to our neigbors, as we are becoming a new man, Christ like.
Thanks @hope777
Thank you for bringing your viewpoint to our study @godwaves, it helps us all to hear different answers to help us understand "God is just" better!
Thanks for bringing the light of God into Steem Blockchain.
The major reason why God be just is because of who He is. He has given everybody equal opportunity to choose the kind of life that we want to live but He also advice us to choose the right part that lead to life and He also spelt out all the rewards and benefits of anyone we chose. Now,having play His own part and leaving us to choose and play our own part,He is a God that is committed to fulfiling His promises, Because,he is not man that He should lie.
So, it is important that God be just so that whomsoever that want to amend his/her way can easily do that for him/her to enjoy Him. He is a just God.
Justice is dealing with someone base on what he/she has done while fairness is trying to reduce purnishment on someone.
All honor, glory and praise to God. Thank you for participation in the assignment. It helps everyone to understand "God is just" better!
Fairness is the quality of making judgments that are free from discrimination or manipulation. Justice is an action that is morally right and fair. I think the difference is that fairness is about having a proper perspective and justice is about having the right thing done. Someone who is fair is seen as just, but sometimes justice can be cruel and seem not fair. GOD IS JUST MEANS that He is fair and impartial. It also means that He hates the ill-treatment and oppression of people and of nature, which He has created. He hates lying, cheating, and other forms of mistreatment of others. The fact that God is just means that He can and will judge between right and wrong and He will administer justice in accordance with His standards.
Thank you for participating in the assignment @warudo. To read everyone's of God's children's understanding of this subject helps us all to understand it better.
