Psalms 37:37

Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is a future for the man of peace.

Going through the whole book of Psalms 37, you will observe the comparisons made between a righteous man and the wicked. The Bible made it clear that the wicked will have their future cut off and the sinners destroyed but the Righteous has a future full of glory. Though it may seem like things aren't going well for you at the moment, God assures us that being upright and living a peaceful like guarantees us a future which can't be gotten from our daily lives outside Christ Jesus.

Peace is the absence of trouble, war, oppressive thoughts and harmful emotions. It is a state of harmony , tranquility and unity among our peers and our environment. Uprightness on the other hand is a state of being moral, honest and sincere in regards to our daily lives. One has to be upright in order to gain these peace that comes from God. Most times, we find ourselves in compromising situations where and when our devotion to God and humanity is threatened. But it's in such cases that we're expected to hold on fast unto our belief in God and watch home make a way for us.

Most times it doesn't really work and the promised future seems to be taking longer than expected. We shouldn't give up because God's word stands and by no means should we loose faith in his word. In verses 35&36 the Bible made us to know that the ways of the wicked may seem bright at the beginning but there's no future for them i.e within a short time their riches will fizzle out. Rather than trying to be like them, we should be patient with God because he has the best in stock 4 us.

So, are you going through some hard times in your life? Does it seem that the good work which you have been doing isn't bringing blessings your way? Does it appear like God has given up on you? Are friends making fun of you? Chill, don't relent, remember God's word in the reading today, believe in it, keep doing good and one day, it will all be over.

Stay blessed
