Parameters for identifying a proud person.

Yesterday I explained what Pride means I said Pride is an over exaggerated or inflated sense of one's self or status or an over estimation of one's opinion of one's self.
Today I will be talking about the characteristics or parameters that differentiates a proud person from an humble person.

Firstly, proud people are always difficult to accept correction : no matter how you correct someone who is proud they will never agree such people will always want to have the final say over any discussion or argument.
Secondly proud people are difficult to submit . They can never submit to authorities ahead of them whether governmental, spiritual or sundry authorities. We should always learn how to submit. Note you can't be in disobedience and show obedience it's the highest form of hypocrisy.
There's a saying which states "If you can't submit to authority you can't be an authority".
Thirdly proud people are class conscious they will never mingle with other folks perceived to be lower classed
Fourthly they're always desperate for recognition be it online, offline or in group .
Fifthly They are boastful
Sixthly they don't pray as they don't believe or trust God for their lives.
Seventhly proudly people are always judgemental they find wrong in everything .
Finally, proud people hardly accept blame.
Therefore if you see any folk with such characteristic as stated just know that they are proud hence know that humility is of essence
Stay humble always

So true! There is a part of pride that is difficult to detect. I call it the flip side of pride. If pride were a coin, this is the other side of the same coin. For instance someone says they want to only do some small thing for God. What this is self preservation. In case we never do anything on a large scale for the kingdom. We save our own face and own ego. False humility.
Where a person can do exploits and still be humble. I hope this made sense.
Great post!
God bless!

wow...indeed it made a whole lot of sense, we must give our all to God there is nothing like doing some small thing for God.
Thanks Daddy William

Thank for you sir

Thank you for this reminder. It's important that I always do self-check and self-reflection, that perhaps I am not aware that I have so much pride.

Proverbs 19:20 says:

"Listen to advice and accept correction, and in the end you will be wise."
