TEMPLE THOUGHTS : OF ENEMIES AND FOES
“When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
PROVERBS 16:7 AMP
I suffered once from an all night prayer meeting. The Church was so close to my house and their audio equipments were on full blast. Not being able to sleep, I chose to follow the program, and all they prayed about were enemies in categories. They sent thunders and sudden deaths to the houses of these foes like gift packages. There were, the relentless chasers, the secret destroyers, the glory munchers, not to mention the paternal enemies and their maternal equivalents. I've also heard of Christian folks who bind and lay curses on rats and spiders, for being agents of the enemy, yet Jesus says that his yoke is easy and his burden is light.
If you read the book of judges, you will notice that the enemies of Israel prevailed against them, only when their ways are not pleasing to The Lord. If Christ be for us, who can stand against us? Why are your enemies so powerful ? Are you right with the Lord? I think these are the question to ask. Because according to my bible, we are hid in Christ, far above principalities and powers. Our Lord has given us authority to trample on, and overcome all the powers of the enemy.
God has not given us the burden of defending ourselves, those that are with us outnumber, and are stronger than those that are against us. We however have a reasonable duty, to seek the Lord and walk in His ways. If we seek first the kingdom of God and it's righteousness, all other things including our security against known and unknown enemies will be taken care of.
Relax, children of the living God, your defense is sure.
