I think it's blasphemous to say that Peter lived because enough people prayed for him rather than it was God's purpose from the beginning to free Peter.

So did my first wife die at age 30 because there weren't enough people to pray for her? What if only 25 people prayed? Were they one person short? What if 50 prayed? Would she still be alive?

It's good to pray but it comes down to the will of God.
