[The Message Bible] Whole Hearted Devotion - 1 Chronicles 28:9-10
“And you, Solomon my son, get to know well your father’s God; serve him with a whole heart and eager mind, for God examines every heart and sees through every motive. If you seek him, he’ll make sure you find him, but if you abandon him, he’ll leave you for good. Look sharp now! God has chosen you to build his holy house. Be brave, determined! And do it!”

Tomorrow is Sunday again. Most people would be at church. (Some would be in a synagogue, mosque, cathedral, etc.)
But why do people go to church? Is it simply for tradition or superstition?
For me going to church is a way of showing devotion to God (and His people that you get to see there :) ) (Besides the Christian concept that the church is not the building but the people who believe in God.)
How can we cultivate a wholehearted devotion to God?
1. Seek God continually
Not sporadically or intermittently but intentionally and determined to put God first in our life and choices we make.
2. Honor God Faithfully
Not with peacemeal superficial devotion, but to honor God as God Almighty and give Him our complete allegiance and obedience
3. Hold Fast to God's Word
Not giving in to unbelief and doubt as we hold fast to our hope in God and in the promises of His Word.
Swim in the Bible everyday. Don't give it a little touch as you head off to do what you really like to do. Swim in the Bible everyday. It is an ocean of bright glorious weighty all-satisfying truth about the One for whom you were made.

Practice the Spiritual Disciplines
Not "doing stuff for God" but being with God. We need to devote time to study His Word, meditating on it, practice and live it out.
(Adapted from a Bible study, points not mine).
How about you?
1.) Do you believe in a supreme being that created and sustains everything?
2.) Do you feel you have to be devoted to a higher being or not?
Have a blessed Sunday!

So nice to see you are spreading message of faith you believe in. it is a good deeds. I am Muslim but I like to know what other religion says about God. Of course God is one but we call him different ways.
