Arise And Manifest

in #christianity6 years ago (edited)

Romans 8:19-22
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

There's a groaning that has continued In The world until now.

The whole world is In shambles. Almost every department of daily life is nothing to write home about.

Government has failed. Commerce, industry, education ain't faring well either.

What the world needs today is a miracle.

The world is depending on the sons (and daughters) of God to start manifesting their real nature.

The world is awaiting the emergence of the saviours, the bridge repairers and the light bearers.

Until you arise and take your rightful place, the world won't be delivered from the current gross darkness covering it. Isaiah 60:1-2

There are destinies hanging on your shoulders that are depending absolutely on you. If you don't succeed, they won't succeed. If you don't make it, they won't make it.

These destinies will not be liberated until someone takes responsibility.

It's therefore time to arise and take the necessary responsible.

It's time to arise and shine.

It's time to manifest as a true son of God.

It's hard to know what it means from the King James. It's 500 years old. You can also look at a longer part of that passage.

(Romans 8:19-28 NIV) The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. {20} For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope {21} that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. {22} We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. {23} Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. {24} For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? {25} But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. {26} In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. {27} And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. {28} And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

I don't agree with this:

"There are destinies hanging on your shoulders that are depending absolutely on you. If you don't succeed, they won't succeed. If you don't make it, they won't make it."

No, I'm not responsible for anyone else's salvation except my own. Sure, it's my job to share the gospel with those who are willing to listen. I need to be a good example of my faith at all times. But everyone's salvation is their own responsibility.

In Isaiah 60 it's obviously God talking to Israel:

(Isaiah 60:1-7 NIV) "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. {2} See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. {3} Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. {4} "Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. {5} Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy; the wealth on the seas will be brought to you, to you the riches of the nations will come. {6} Herds of camels will cover your land, young camels of Midian and Ephah. And all from Sheba will come, bearing gold and incense and proclaiming the praise of the LORD. {7} All Kedar's flocks will be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth will serve you; they will be accepted as offerings on my altar, and I will adorn my glorious temple.

Taking it in context, I believe @gameoutcome is letting us know how our role as children of God in helping the unsaved. The Bible says in Romans 10:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

We as children of God give men the opportunity to be saved by sharing the message of salvation with them. Jesus said we should go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. In that sense, the destinies of the unsaved depends on us!

Isaiah 45:7 "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

If the times are dark, its because our Lord wants them dark. If there is light it is because he makes it so. We don't have power over light and darkness. We only have the choice to love God or not, believe his word or reject it. Your words suggest its up to us to shine light in this world but this contradicts the very passages you quote. Its up to God.

Romans 8:36 "As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."

No this is not totally true.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Whatever is darkness is not the character of God

Darkness is the absence of the knowledge of God. But the original poster used the word in a different context as suffering or poverty. He asks for a miracle from us sinners. What miracle does he expect? If God doesn't shine his light through us, we ourselves are powerless and empty. Its not up to us "to start manifesting". We have no light on our own. Jesus is our light.

Rightly put sir. It is God who is at work in us, both to will and to do.

The fact of the matter is to have positive thinking about your future however take a gander at the condition of society, your condition, and your conditions without rose-hued glasses.
A significant number of these facts sit directly in front of you. Naturally you know they're valid, yet confronting them head-on implies inconvenience.
Achievement or disappointment in life originates from which kind of distress you pick.
You can pick the uneasiness of confronting reality, settling on choices to change, and having the troublesome discourse expected to do both.
You can likewise pick the distress of justifying your circumstance, misleading yourself, and rationalizing.
The decision is yours. I would say, and from what I've watched, taking the inconvenience forthright can feel frightful in the short run however remunerating over the long haul. Pushing it away with the evasion of truth lightens uneasiness for the time being, yet it generally returns and holds on until the point when you make a move.

This is powerful. Thank you so much for the inspiration @gameoutcome
