Will You Be Expecting Him When He Comes?
by lareina morgan
"...And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14:3)
There is a lot of debate about the rapture, and it is hard for me understand, because everyone has the same scriptures and bible verses, yet everyone seems to have their own interpretation, and I believe that some christians are ignoring the signs of the times of His coming. There are wars and rumor of wars, there is famine and pestilence, and strange weather patterns. Every day comes reports of unexplained animal die offs, fish and sea creatures washing up on shore dead; strange algae blooms and the proliferation of toxic organisms in the water; We had the ebola scare, and the zika virus, and all sorts of retro viruses popping up here and there.
There is rampant violence, hatred, depravity, and terrorism; all of these things occurred in the past, but it has become a daily occurrence, and it has become a fact of life. If that were not enough, there have been strange signs in the heavens, blood moons, falling meteorites, eclipses and some strange alignments of the stars that are predicted to happen later this year. What about the sense of urgency in the air, the pervading fears, civil unrest in many countries because of failed economic policies and the overnight dictatorships that have arised, if not officially by name? If there was ever a time in history when we needed Jesus Christ to come back and fix all of our problems, it is certainly right now!
Jesus already said in His word that He will come back to get us, and that He will protect us from the coming storm that everyone in their hearts know is coming:
"...Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth..." (Revelation 3:10)
I am looking forward to His coming, because the human race has tried desperately for thousands of years to go its own way with very little positive results to claim before the throne of God. We have been tested over the years by own decisions to rebel and do our own thing, and the consequences have been heavy, but there is still a time of testing to come, for those who do not or will not believe in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and this is a test that man's society will not survive:
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words. (Thessalonians 4:16-18)
I believe that He will take His church out of harm's way when He comes, for He has to judge satan and his demons and the wicked ones, the ones who would not come to him for salvation and healing. My Lord is a loving and caring God, tender to His children, His little ones, but He will have no tolerance in that day for the wicked, for the ones who refused to believe in Him and in His Son, Jesus Christ, for those who cursed His name and for those who tried to destroy His Word and His people. He is a kind and giving God, but He is also a Just God; He believes in Justice, so He will judge those who have not lived by His word or by His standards.
The question remains, are you prepared for His coming? Are you aware that He coming back for His church, for the ones who have stood by Him through every trial and tribulation? He is coming back for those who chose to live for Him every day, who read the bible and pray, who do good works for His name sake, who praise and worship in His presence, for those who truly believe in Jesus Christ with all of their hearts and minds. These are the people who love Him and who would never walk away from their faith, no matter what situation they find themselves in, or because of the issues of life. It is not always easy, my brothers and sisters in Christ, to live for Him, but it is His love and mercy, His kindness and generosity, the tenderness of His Spirit touching our spirits, His healing touch, these things give us the courage to live for Him everyday. I want to be with the One who loved me so much that He gave His live for me on a old rugged cross.....
“But in those days, following that distress, “ ‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’ “At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens." (Mark 13-24-27)
We need to be aware of all of the signs around us, and give God the benefit of the doubt. We all need to act as if He will be kind and generous to us all, to those who have believed in Him and loved Him, and that He will protect His own. I choose to believe that He will come and take His church away so that He can judge the rebels and the transgressors that believe that the earth is theirs, and that there is no penalty for the evil things that they have done. Please don't take this message for granted, trust in the Lord and in His ability to see you through every trial and circumstance, for He loves you and He cares about you!
..The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.” And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying: “We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign. The nations were angry, and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small— and for destroying those who destroy the earth.” Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a severe hailstorm... (Revelation 11:15-19)

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matthew 24:14. If I were the devil, and wanted to frustrate the coming of the end, I would introduce elements of error into the gospel in order to create confusion among those who hear the preaching which in turn would misrepresent the kingdom of God. Looks like the real devil beat me to it.
Amen! That's a good question for us to ask us ourselves from time to time. And it's wonderful to know that this world is not our true home, but our true home is with the Lord and He'll be back for us! Thank you for sharing. God bless.
