STEEMIT TIME IN GOD PRESENCE
A TIME FOR EVERYTHING
Bible Passage: Ecclesiastes 3:1
"There is a season (a time appointed) for everything
and a time for every delight and event or purpose
under heaven." (Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMP)
There is a time for everything.
There is a time to
play,
there is a time to rest. There is a time to talk,
there is a time to be quiet. There is a time to be in
the presence of God,
Pray and study the Word,
there is a time to work.
There is a right time for
everything in our lives.
Though spending time in the presence of God
should be a regular thing throughout the day,
some
of us have specific times we've set aside to study
the bible and pray.
For some, it's in the morning.
We decide that first thing in the morning, we'll pray
and get into the Word.
Let God come first in our
day, before we move on to anything else. Yet, this
doesn't always work.
Sometimes, we wake up and are quick to do many
other things, probably work related or school related
and so on.
We use the time we are to use in the
presence of God to do other things. We tell
ourselves that God can wait. And by the time we're
done with whatever it is we were doing, we tell
ourselves too much time has passed and it's too
late to go back. We then move on to other things
we planned to do for the day, forsaking the
necessary presence of God.
"God understands," we
say.
God understands we need to focus on our work
in order to provide income.
God understands we
need to focus on ministry, after all, it is His work
we're doing.
God understands.
God understands.
There is a right time for everything. The things you
may be engaged in may not be wrong, but if you
give them priority over God in your life, they have
become idols. And you know how God feels about
idols.
God gave you a job.
He gave you a ministry.
He gave you various blessings.
Will you now put
these blessings and gifts over the One who gave
them to you? No matter what, as much as it is in
your own power to do so, don't use God's time for
other duties. If you have to wake up earlier, or make
God's time earlier so you can meet a certain
deadline, then do so.
But don't push God to the
side so you can do something else.
