SCRIPTURE REVIEW
Goodmorning steemians, i welcome you to another episode of scripture review.
Today we shall focus on the topic which says TWO MASTERS, HOW POSSIBLE?
Lets go down to business!!!
Who is a Master? By definition a master is Someone who has control over something or someone.
A master is the Owner of an animal or slave.
(nautical).
A master is the captain of a merchant ship; a master mariner.
Someone who is an expert at something.
From the above definition one can clearly agree the fact that growing and over coming obstacles in life and in our Christian race, isn't possible without having a master, a motivator someone who knows more than we do, someone with lots of experience to learn from and someone who is perfect....
Focusing on the spiritual implication of Having a master, it then means having two masters isn't possible that is why at Salvation Jesus Christ becomes our Lord (master) and personal Savior.
JESUS took the form of man to make disciples.
Scripture Reference:
Matthew 6:24 says No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.*Also repeated in
Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
16:12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
From the above scriptures, it is impossible to serve to masters.
The problem with our Christian folks is....many claim to accept Jesus as their Saviour but reject him from being their Lord.Today's church is filled with believers that don't want to submit the totality of their lives to Jesus Christ.
Many don't obey the instructions of our Lord Jesus Christ written in the Bible rather they carve out some aspects of the Bible that suits their lust.
Today! worldliness has entered the church, infact the church is more worldly than the world.
Many Christians decides to serve God according to their will despising the will of God thereby serving two masters.
In conclusion, it's impossible to serve two masters, making Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior implies serving him alone, taking instructions from him alone, doing his will, striving to be like him and obeying him in all things.
ACTION POINT.
Examine your self if Jesus Christ is really your Lord(master) and personal Saviour.
