The two most greatest reasons why Jesus had to die was for;
• Taking away our sins by dying and shedding his blood to reconcile us with God

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, behold the lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29 (KJV)

• So that those who will believe in Him will have the Holy Spirit

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. John 16:7 (KJV)

The above verses helps us to get the reasons Jesus had to be sent by God to this world. Thanks be to God these reasons have been fulfilled.

Just as Jesus had promised, the Holy Spirit descends on anyone who receives Jesus as his Lord and personal saviour, and the presence of the Holy Spirit in their heart, their inner man (spirit) makes them to be filled with God's presence. The Holy Spirit makes His presence Known among us, comforts us in our fear and despair and transforms us into bold Christians.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU

The Holy Spirit in you;
• Makes you a child of God

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we the children of God. Roman 8:14,16 (KJV)

• Makes you a dwelling place of God

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Cor 3:16 (KJV)

• Makes you walk in God.

I This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. Gal 5:16 (KJV)

• Makes you an overcome.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 1John 4:4 (KJV)

• Builds up your faith in God.

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the holy Ghost. Jude 1:20 (KJV)

• Makes you a spiritual person.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5 (KJV)

KNOW THIS

The Holy Ghost is God's gift to His children. Jesus Christ is God's gift to the world. Therefore as a child of God you must desire the Holy Spirit as a baby desires the breast milk of the mother.
