Study Verse(s) - Heb 4:14-16

Value you place on an access determines what you would ask for. There is therefore a need to place value on our access on God. The premium you place on this access determines your relationship with God.

One problem we face is that we may think spiritual things are trivial but the physical is influenced by the spiritual.

In the past only one person the High Priest of the Order of Aaron had access to God's presence only once a year. There was so much protocol and awe and reverence for God's presence.

Then Jesus died and gave everyone access to God's presence as much as we want. By virtue of the Blood, we gained a right to enter.

As humans, we love being appreciated and not taken for granted. Think about God who does so much for us because he loves you. How much do you appreciate His availability when you can engage him freely.

So why do people have limited access?

  1. Have not received salvation
  2. Living only in the Physical. Carnally mind. John 4:24...God is a Spirit and access to him is spiritual through a connection with the Holy Spirit. Daniel did not have the Holy Spirit so he had no direct line. This is why the answer to his prayer had to come to him through something like a courier service and when the angel was hindered briefly, his prayer was left hanging.

By the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian, there is no more vehicle transportation for our engagement with God. But you can't experience a spiritual being with physical senses, it will limit you

  1. Deciding to turn on and off the access whenever you like. Eph 4:29-31 talks about faithless words and actions.

Some Christians put the Holy Spirit on silent or vdo not disturb' mode such that when the Holy Spirit is transmitting, they cannot receive it.

The Holy Spirit is there as a constant helper we need to be in tune with every second. He understands your limits, doubts and weaknesses and he is there to strengthen you.

  1. Condemnation from the devil can put doubt on your ability to access God. However we need to know God has no favorites on who has access to him. God does not have people he puts on hold and people he answers immediately. Rom 8:16.

The same way God loves Jesus, is the same way He loves you. There are no believers with a premium package access.

Now, how do you deal with the sense of being excluded?

The Holy Spirit is our sanctifier. We are not made whole by your own efforts. 1 cor 13:28

Believe in God's forgiveness and move on. There is therefore no condemnation. Condemnation makes us lack confidence to approach God

Knowing this, would YOU engage God from now on?

Prayer is a conversation not an application with format protocol. Pray and talk to God today and stay connected.
