Leave Behind A Good Legacy!
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord. 1 Chronicles 28:20 (KJV)
Laying down a good legacy will bring so much generation to the Lord. As a king and a number one leader in Israel, David lived a well reputable life. Although there were instance where he did some wrongs, but on an overall rating, he was a king who had the fear of God in him.
Prior to the above, King David who realized his tenure or time on earth was almost over, he raised up his child and nurtured him with the fear of the Lord. He lived a good legacy before Solomon and also gave good directives to him on what should or shouldn't be done as his successor.
There are different ways people live their lives here on earth, but the best legacy a wise man can drop behind is to absolutely bring up people in the fear of the Lord almighty. This legacy is in the ways and lifestyle of a man.
Dear beloved, what kind of example are you setting before your children? What kind of legacy are you leaving behind for the people who are closer to you? Is your legacy with the fear of God or with the fear of the world? These are questions everyone ought to ask in order to be able to know if we are on the right track. The legacy you lay behind will be a symbol to remember you when you are out of this world, so it's best to live a good and reputable legacy on earth. May the blessings of God be upon us. Amen!!!
