GOD USUALLY DOES NOT COMMUNICATE STRAIGHT

"MY PEOPLE WILL LIVE IN SAFETY, QUIETLY AT HOME. They will be at rest."
Isaiah 32:18 (NLT)

• The people of God will live in safety, and be at rest.

  • In most cases, when a negative thing happens to a Believer, God is speaking to him or her. Most especially when the person is the type who walks with God closely or intimately (Amos 3:6).
  • Many Believers are not sensitive and discerning enough to decipher, unravel or figure out, the message God might be passing across through whatever happens to them.
  • God knows about it, when any negative thing happens to a Believer; He must have permitted it. Although, God is not an author of evil: "FOR GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION BUT OF PEACE, as in all the churches of the saints" (1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV).
  • However: "WHEN THE RAM'S HORN BLOWS A WARNING, shouldn’t the people be alarmed? DOES DISASTER COME TO A CITY UNLESS THE LORD HAS PLANNED IT?
    Amos 3:6 (NLT)
  • God knows about every evil that may come the way of a child of His. God speaks through such a disaster, and it is usually for the good of the believer concerned: "AND WE KNOW THAT GOD CAUSES EVERYTHING TO WORK TOGETHER FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE GOD AND ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE FOR THEM" (Romans 8:28 NLT).

• Be sensitive and discerning.

  • When anything happens to you, which might be something that is not good enough; know that the devil has caused it, but God allowed or permitted It, in order to call your attention to something.
  • Before you started engaging in spiritual warfare, you need to analyze and know the cause of the problem.
  • God would allow negative experiences, to discipline and correct the errability, the wrongdoing or evilness, of a Believer.
  • Nothing negative happens without a reason. But a number of Believers do not always bother to find out the reasons behind whatever negative thing that happened to them.
  • In walking with God, you have to be sensitive, curious to know about happenings in your life. Most of the negative things that happened are messages, calling your attention by God, either to correct or do a particular thing.
  • If you seemed not to get the message being passed across to you, another event that is severer than that may be allowed to happen:
6 “ALSO I GAVE YOU CLEANNESS OF TEETH [Hunger] IN ALL YOUR CITIES. AND LACK OF BREAD IN ALL YOUR PLACES; YET YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED TO ME,” SAYS THE LORD. 7 “I ALSO WITHHELD RAIN FROM YOU, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered. 8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; YET YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED TO ME,” SAYS THE LORD. 9 “I BLASTED YOU WITH BLIGHT AND MILDEW. WHEN YOUR gardens INCREASED, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, THE LOCUST DEVOURED THEM; YET YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED TO ME,” SAYS THE LORD. 10 “I SENT AMONG YOU A PLAGUE AFTER THE MANNER OF EGYPT; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; YET YOU HAVE NOT RETURNED TO ME,” SAYS THE LORD" (Amos 4:6-10 NKJV).
  • In the above passage of the Bible, God permitted different calamities and woes in Israel, He wanted them to know that He was not happy with them, but they did not get the message.
  • God was communicating with them through those problems, calamities, but they could not understand the message. God wanted them to come back to Him, because they had strayed away from Him.
  • You should not be like a mule that would need to be jerked, poked, or beaten, before It could understand what the owner is saying (Psalm 32:9)).
  • In other words, you should not be rigid and obstinate, and suffer so much and unnecessarily, before you could understand whatever God is telling you, teaching you, or calling your attention to through the challenges you are going through: "DON'T BE STUPID LIKE HORSES AND MULES THAT MUST BE LED WITH ROPES TO MAKE THEM OBEY" (Psalm 32:9 Contemporary English Version).

"DO NOT BE LIKE A SILLY HORSE, OR A MULE. YOU HAVE TO USE A ROPE TO SHOW THEM WHICH WAY TO GO. Without that, THEY WILL NOT OBEY YOU."
Psalm 32:9 (Easy English Bible)

"BE NOT LIKE THE HORSE OR THE MULE, WHICH LACK UNDERSTANDING, which must have their MOUTHS HELD FIRM WITH BIT AND BRIDLE, OR ELSE THEY WILL NOT COME WITH YOU."
Psalm 32:9 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition)

• God would not bring a change until you are able to understand whatever He is saying. That is, the dealings would continue until the message being passed across to you by God, through the calamities, is gotten by you.

  • Every negative event, or occurrence, that happened has a message being passed across to the individual Believer or a congregation of the children of God.
  • This is the way which God speaks nonverbally or inaudibly. God expected you to understand whenever He speaks Thus. God uses situations and circumstances to speak. If you are rigid, you would always miss God's messages and find yourself in a mess—embarrassing condition and situation.
  • A God's message which is not understood can be cleared, receive the accurate meaning, from God; If you are sensitive enough.
  • Note:
    (i) God speaks through the handwriting on the wall (Daniel 5:5-9).
(ii) He also speaks through the crying out of wisdom (Proverbs 8:1).
THIS usually is when the people who come your way, who did not know what is going on in your heart or life, but started talking or speaking about it. In most cases, what those people who come your way are saying, are usually the mind of God.

• God may be calling your attention to what you have never thought of before, through the mouths of the people.

  • He at times may also discipline you through the people around you. God might use your superior at work, or a subordinate, or servant, to correct you or chastise you. Everything that happens to a Believer contains a message, especially the negative one.
  • If God is speaking to you the earliest you obey the better.
    a. Take your time to think or meditate on things happening around you.
    b. Ask the Holy Spirit why such a thing has happened.
    c. Pray until you have received a reply from God.
    d. Do not push aside whatever happened negatively, ponder on it to get the cause and the reason why It had happened. The LORD will open your understanding in Jesus' name.

• You will not fail in Jesus' name.

  • Should there be any ailment in your body, I declare your healing in Jesus' name.
  • That hold of sickness is broken in Jesus' name.
    Peace!

STEPS TO SALVATION
• Take notice of this:
IF you are yet to take the step of salvation, that is, yet to be born-again, do it now, tomorrow might be too late (2 Corinthians 6:1,2; Hebrews 3:7,8,15).
a. Acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess your Sins (1 John 1:9); And ask Jesus Christ to come into your life (Revelation 3:20).
b. Confess that you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that you confess it with your mouth, Thus, you accept Him As your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9,10).
c. Ask that He will write your name in the Book of Life (Philippians 4:3; Revelation 3:8).

  • If you took the steps As highlighted above, It means you are saved—born-again. Join a Word based church in your area and Town or city, and be part of whatever they are doing there. Peace!
