Remembering Childless Mothers on Mothers' Day

in #christianity7 years ago (edited)

We just celebrated Mothers' Day this past weekend. It's celebrated on different dates around the world depending on the country. There are a few countries like Poland, Bolivia, Haiti, Sweden, Morocco, and many more that will celebrate towards the end of this month. Others are entirely on different months. But no matter when it's celebrated, most of us tend to celebrate those who have kids. What about those in different stages of life?

Like those ...
... who have infertility issues; they can't get pregnant.
... who can get pregnant, but keep on losing them to miscarriage or stillborn.
... who gave birth and the child died whether 1 day later or 50 years later.
... who are single and taking care of someone else child.

What about these women? Mothers' Day can be a day of sorrow, disappointment, and anger for some. They're mothers too. Also remember that mothers are not the only ones who go through this heartache; fathers do too. Let's not overlook nor forget about all of them.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. - Romans 12:15
