Discovering your purpose in life #DH101
Estelle was a beautiful young lady, gifted with several abilities. She could sing, dance, act, write incredible stories and poems. In addition to all these jewels inside her, she had an aura that inspired everyone that came around her. Because of her uniqueness she had so many offers, "Come join us let's sing? " "We have a dance coming up, would you like to join us?" "We are shooting a movie next month, what do say?" She started out wanting to participate in all the activities. It became too tiresome for her to handle all of them and ended up not being effective in any.
Paul the apostle made a striking statement, he said
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do [[Phi 3:13]] KJV
"This one thing I do" lingered in my mind for quite sometime. One day I was taking a strode with a friend and he quoted this scripture and in explaining he said,
Until you become a man of one thing, you cannot make an impact in life
When I cast my mind through history, I discovered that all that who made an impact, positive or negative, were people of one thing.
Dr. Myles Munroe was known for his message about purpose.

Everyone and everything has a unique purpose-something that is good for people and good for God. It also important to know that the purpose of something is defined by the one who created it. God made us and he has defined the purpose for each one of us. But how do we discover it?
It usually starts with an interest or a burden-something you wished could be better. For example, you might see the desperation of the poor and needy and have a burning to help them. That may be a pointer to your purpose. You will need to ask yourself, "If I had the power to solve only one problem, what would it be? " Once you discover it, you go for it. Your passion for the change you want to see will drive you through all the obstacles and you will win at the end.
Don't be like Estelle wanted to participate in all activities and ended up doing nothing. Stay with your given purpose and be a blessing to your world.
God bless you
