Took a day off the blog to get some real work done. 1965 Coupe Mustang

in #classic6 years ago (edited)

I took a yesterday off the blog because i don't really have time to do everything i have going on right now.. I am helping a friend remodel his house, we are always upgrading the shop, I have a 40 hour regular work week, and i have a project Mustang. Before i started into this project the car looked beautiful from about 10 feet away, under close inspection it actually has a lot of surface rust. Surface rust can be easily removed, But the car also has a little deep rust. Deep rust needs to be completely cut out, if you miss one spot in know time it will be back. When i started this car i was going to do it the cheap way not knowing how bad it really was. I love this car i grew up in and around this car for a large part of my life, I am going to do it justice and go all the way. That being said i did get a ton of work done stripping the car down also i got a couple shots of the new sheet rock and benches being built, along with some new tools that have been purchased. So far i am really happy with the progress on everything. I am not going to go into too much detail on tearing the car apart honestly because anyone can do that.. The hours come in when you put things back together.. That being said its been a long couple days, i hope you enjoy the pictures.

Oh man... You ruined it! Just kidding.

I saved it a couple more years of sitting and it would have been worthless.
