I want to see more things like this, our NGO in Colombia has long considered tokenizing trees - I had a great conversation with @aggroed at Global Block Builders about whether they should be fungible (each representing 1 tree unit) or non-fungible (each tree tied to one token). Any thoughts?
It would be very cool to have something like this. Let’s say I volunteer some hours to plant a dozen trees around my city. I am granted 12 TREE tokens after I provide sufficient “proof of tree”. Then, I can exchange them for other tokens or goods. I.e. my 12 tokens are exchanged for a few cubic feet of locally sourced compost, which I use on my vegetable garden. That would be very cool!
