Pokemon Go Vs. Death ?

When I first read this, I thought they fell off the cliff since they weren't paying attention and likely tripped and fell unintentionally, like the poor lady below. However this wasn't the case at all.

 Short Overview

" Two men fell off a cliff Wednesday in San Diego's North County while playing "Pokemon Go," the Encinitas Fire Department confirmed. San Diego Lifeguards reported that someone had fallen off a cliff at E Street around 1:12 p.m. They found a men around 80 to 90 feet down the cliff, on the beach.  A sign posted on the fence warns the public that the bluffs are unstable but the men had climbed over to find a character in the popular video game  "

My Views

At first i couldn't take this seriously with whats happening around the world, this was just attention seeking only to increase the size of the hype train, which the game has created. Soon like all things the train will arrive at its platform and people will get off. Which isn't always a bad thing. But for some people this isn't just a game and will go really far to achieve endangering themselves, when you take a step back in the future, few years or even months all they will see is regret. Yes you may of gotten charizard, but does it really mean anything and at what cost? falling off a cliff and breaking a bone. There has been other cases which has resulted in death.

Children's - Safety

Another issue that pops in my mind is safety of children, although we can blame the incident that happened on the men and it was primary their fault. But what about children, when they wonder off the neighbourhood and get lost. I know what you might be saying, theres going to be adults accompanying them although this may be the case its not true always, you tell your kids to play around a certain radius around the house and since the game encourages exploration - Its not a good mix.

What can be done, i think the came should be refined, more safety features added to reduce human accident since for a small gain we pay a hefty price.
