Does the dress influence our behavior?

We put on different attire as per the occasions. Going the traditional way during festive and being professional at a business meeting. Researchers have showed that our dressing sense impact the way we think. The power suit we put on increases our abstract thinking and express professionalism and seriousness. During Fridays, the casual wear we have increases socialization. That’s why most of the companies have casual Friday.
In one study some of the volunteers where asked to put on doctor’s lab coat. The one’s had the white coat exhibited greater concentration. It concludes that the physical experience of wearing the coat made differences in volunteers’ ability to focus.

Cloth can light up your bad mood. Wearing favorite dresses give joy and happiness. The right outfit can enhance happiness, focus, creativity and negotiation skills. People make quick judgment based on our appearance. A wrist watch suggests that reliability and punctuality is of great concern to the person. We had uniforms at school to imbibe discipline in us. Zuckerberg put on the same grey t-shirt and jeans pair to have discipline and to save time. At times, we take too much time to consider what to wear next.

It may sound funny, however Research shows that one can tell a lot about someone's personality, income, age and anxiety level just from looking at a photo of their shoes.

To improve self-image coping one’s role model style can be a great start. When we dress like them, we feel infused with their qualities as well. When you dress up tomorrow, put on your best. Though we are quarantined at home, it will boost our confidence and focus.

To quote Edith Head, one of the greatest costume designer,* “You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it.”*
