Is Crypto Currency better than Pocket Change...???steemCreated with Sketch.

The day may come when the power goes out... Perhaps all over the world... Perhaps a Virus will strike... Perhaps you'll lose or forget your Pass Word... There's no telling what might happen to your Crypto Currency... On the other hand, when the Paper and Digital Fiat Dollars crash, you might be lucky enough to have some Pocket Change on hand... At that point, the Banks aren't going to be all that willing to give you back what you thought they were holding for you... Do you think they'll be willing to give up the Coinage they're holding onto...??? If the Paper and Digital Dollars fail, all they'll have left will be Common Coinage, or as I like to put it, "POCKET CHANGE"... Think about that for a while... Let it sink in... It's not about the Metal value of the Pocket Change, just as it's not about the Paper value of the Federal Reserve Notes... It's about having some sort of Medium of Exchange that people actually have stashed away in Jars... Lots of people have a few coins laying around... It's rare that anyone has some Gold or Silver on hand...
Think Pocket Change... Sleep on it... Give what I have to say a little time to sink in... Thanks... This is a photo of me and my younger brother, taken many years ago... photoMA29851342-0001.JPG

You indeed make a very valid point! I have some "pocket change", "gold and silver" but very little crypto as of yet. But the more I think about it you are right that "pocket change" could be very handy in the future.

Thanks for your vote of encouragement... Even if I'm wrong about Pocket Change, at least it's outside of the Banking System...

Anything outside of those criminals is always the best for the people!

I saw a youtube video series about a guy cleaning out his late fathers house. He had significant amounts of PM's stuffed away in the attic, buried in the yard etc. That was cool, but the coolest thing in the video series was in his fathers shed....he had a 5 gallon bucket full of half dollar coins....they weren't silver or anything, just clad....at first I was thinking to myself...crazy old man, but as I thought about it more I think it is pretty smart. The old man was preparing for different scenarios. You are right, most people don't have PM's, and when the banks go down a medium of exchange will be paramount. Great article.

Thanks for your comment... I need comments like yours to help build confidence in my Pocket Change Theory... It's not easy telling a new story or coming up with a different point of view... I can't wait for my favorite people doing Videos to start repeating what I've been saying for years... Thanks again... Pocket Change...

I think your point is spot on. When the next collapse happens paper money will be worthless. Your 100% correct by saying the banks are not going to give it back to you. Those that have silver and gold in there hands will be okay. As far as cryptocurrency i belive that it will be the next monetary system. Great article.

Thanks for your reply... I figure if we're lucky, when the Paper and Digital Currencies Collapse, we might be able to trade them in for a penny for every dollar the Banks are holding of what we thought was our money...

Big difference between things that are 'potentially' worth something and things that are really worth something. A map to the grocery store won't feed you when times are lean or in chaos. A packet of seeds, like 'pocket change,' provides you with something that has value and, more importantly...accessible.

I just noticed your comment on one of my earlier posts... I also think seeds are important... Thanks...
@pocketechange

After a crash, the coins will be just as worthless as notes. The faith in that this is money will be destroyed then. May be you can use them for other things, like drill a hole into them and use them as washer disks, thats different to the notes which dont even make good toilet paper.
It wont take long until some new currency is produced anyway - by who ever.

I like seeing other opinions... Don't forget, we went to war with England for our independence because they took away our debt free money and forced us to use their interesting bearing money... We were doing very well before they did that... I personally think our coins are debt free and the paper federal reserve notes are debt based... I could be wrong, but I'm sticking to my Theory... Pocket Change

I made a big mistake when I typed in cryptocurrency... This should cost me some readers...lol... Pocket Change...

I've often mentioned in comments that all the worlds power could be knocked for decades if earth get hits by a big enough solar flare, which does happen but not yet since we've been so reliant on electricity. It would literally take decades to rebuild cause anything with power running through will melt into a puddle.So yep it would be good to have some pocket change on hand in that event.

Put change in sock, rob people for their gold. ^^

Thanks for your comment about Pocket Change... I love getting feedback...

Thanks for sharing your unconventional thoughts. In UK we just got new £1 coins. They are not really round anymore. I can't use them for lockers in public spaces... do you not think that the Government will issue new coins after a crash?

We will keep our old coins after the crash, and continue to make new coins each year...
@pocketechange

Great article - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. PS I love that picture of you and your brother, reminds me of my younger years with my older brothers. One of whom just passed away recently at the age of 35.. still grappling with this loss. Keep sharing your wisdom and thank you again. I'm a new +1 for your followers.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on one of my posts... I also lost my younger brother seen in the photo... @pocketechange
