I haven't met my school friends in years, and we couldn't meet due to our busy schedules and some of them moved to other cities. We were planning to meet in February and two of my friends were in the city this month. Since our schedule was free this month and all of us were in the city, I and my friends decided to go for dinner together. The plan wasn't spontaneous and we had plenty of time to decide where to meet. After much hovering, we decided to go to the sea view for a sunset watch and then for dinner afterward in the nearest restaurant.

I was really excited about this meetup. A strange feeling of nostalgia filled me whenever I thought of meeting my old friends. They really gave me some of the best years of my school life. Since it was a boys meetup, we all decided to dress casually. I got up for the meetup on time, threw on a t-shirt and jeans and my favorite go-to sneakers, and reached the spot in time.

I already found two of my friends waiting. We greeted each other with warm hugs and wide smiles. Other kept coming till the last one —who used to be and was still late for every event —reached half an hour later. We secured ourselves a very good spot to sit and watch the sunset.

I was filled with a sense of happiness as I had my old friends with me, their chattering noises, with the sea hitting the shores, the sun almost dissolved in the sky, and life for once felt peaceful and worth living. We talked about old times, the nostalgia really did hit hard. They all remembered how I used to teach them minutes before exams, how we used to run the entire length of corridors in school, how we made noises and ate at the back of the class, and those afternoon football matches. Time really flew too fast and we all were left with memories, smiles, and a little bit of sadness.

We broke our fasts there with samosas we bought from the nearest food stall. We bought juices and fried food for ourselves. The sun was down when my friends decided that they wanted a camel ride. That was the best part of the day. We took turns in two and rode on the back. The camel walked the whole length of the shore. It was like sitting in a car on a very bumpy road.

We went to the nearest restaurant afterward. There were families seated who came for dinner too. It was a cozy place. We placed our order and waited for a while until it arrived. We really enjoyed our food. The food was delicious and all of us filled ourselves.

After dinner, we decided to take group pictures. We still had a lot to talk about and fill the gap that had been made in all those past years due to distance and responsibilities. I liked being with those people who really understood me and reminded me that someone really cares for me. The picture session turned into a laughter and gossiping session in no time.

We sat there and enjoyed each other's company and one of my friends ordered tea. The tea was amazing and since I'm a tea lover I can't refrain from saying that it was immaculate. It took us a while to realize how time was slipping by and we had to go to our homes.

We bid each other goodbyes and hugged each other, passed smiles and I could feel the air of sadness and longing between us. It was an emotional and beautiful day for me
