Guilt-tripping is a wrong approach to managing any emotional situation or pain.

GT is mostly used to cause guilt in order to change the behaviour of others or to make them take a specific action.

In relationships/marriages, GT could be in a form of a text message or letter written with the intent to induce the feeling of guilt in a partner.

It could also be verbal as words that induce guilty feelings are used on a partner.

GT may occur in a relationship/marriage.
It can also occur after breakup/divorce.

To manage pains with dignity and effectively, GT should not be an option.

If you are being or have been guilt-tripped, take your time to objectively deal with the situation. Do not act under the influence of guilt.
